Zona Braza lodge, near Xai-Xai in Mozambique, offers self-catering & bed & breakfast accommodation in barracas and casas.

The lodge is 800km from Pretoria/Johannesburg and 280 km north of Maputo.

Zona Braza is an exclusive beach resort, situated between a bird loving freshwater lake and the Indian Ocean and has an all year's summer climate and safe beaches.

BARRACA

• Each barraca is fully serviced daily and comfortably sleeps two adults under a huge mosquito net.
• They are equipped with a king size bed, cotton linen, bedside tables and wicker cupboard. Spacious bathrooms with both hot and cold water and 24 hour electricity are in close proximity to all the units.
• Five open planned self-catering kitchens are central to all the 8 barraca's and are fully equipped including freezer facilities.
• Water is supplied by borehole and is drinkable. Charcoal, beer, coldrinks and ice are available at a nominal rate.

CASA

• The "Casa" is a self catering house that is fully serviced daily.
• A main bedroom with king size bed, a loft with single or double beds, bathroom and a kitchen make this a suitable unit for a family.
• A “stoep” with built-in braai overlooks the ocean. All the beds have cotton linen and mosquito nets.
• The kitchen is fully equipped, including a gas stove and fridge/freezer.

• Once you have reached Xai-Xai, Zona Braza is just 40 kilometres further on the EN1. At the sign "Nascer do Sol" on the main road – turn right to the final 10km sand road brings you to your destination at Praia de Chizavane - Beach at Chizavane.

Rates:

Low Season
• R250.00 per barraca per day (sleeps 2 people).
• R600.00 per casa per day (sleeps a family of 4).

High Season (SA School Holidays and long weekends)
• R380.00 per barraca per day (sleeps 2 people).
• R880.00 per casa per day (sleeps a family of 4).

Payment Structure
• More than 7 days before arrival
• Deposit 50% - Paid immediately to secure booking.
• Refundable breakage deposit of R350.00 is payable with the 50% deposit.
• Balance 50% - Paid 7 days prior to arrival to retain booking.
• Within 7 days of arrival
• Full amount is payable immediately.
• Refundable breakage deposit of R350.00 is also immediately payable.
